Cadaqués is located at the most eastern point of the Costa Brava and the iberian penninsular. It is situated in a deep bay and surrounded by an extraordinary and natural landscape.  
       
  It is one of the places on the Costa Brava wich still, today, conserves its style as a tranquil, maritime village. It is also a cosmopolitan location, with a capacity of coexisting with the most diverses personalities from the art and literary world.  
       
  Inevitably, Cadaqués is linked to the name of Salvador Dalí, the surrealist painter of international fame. Dalí spent long periods of his life in Cadaqués and owned a house in Port Lligat, which is now The Salvador Dalí House Museum.Cadaqués has always attracted artists and intellectuals like Picasso, Matisse, Marcel Duchman and Man Ray, to name but a few.  
       
  It is situated on the peninsular of Cap de Creus, the first marine/land nature reserve in the country, stretching 14.000 hectares. It is a protected area of great cultural, natural and scenic value. It is an ideal spot for taking long walks and enjoying the magnificient sea beds and diving activities.
